Dr. Ehsan Natour is an internationally renowned heart surgeon, mentor, author, and keynote speaker. Growing up in Palestine as one of ten siblings, he pursued medical studies at Christian-Albrechts-Universität (Kiel University) in Germany, becoming a heart surgeon in 2000 and earning his doctoral degree with distinction in 2003. He specialized in complex aortic pathologies at the University Medical Centre Groningen (UMCG) in the Netherlands and now lives and works in Maastricht, continuing his mission to advance heart health globally.
Dr. Natour is the author of “When Life Comes to a Standstill,” available in Dutch, English, and German, which explores navigating life’s most challenging events. He founded the Dutch foundation “Stilgezet,” which enhances the quality of life for patients and their families by translating their emotional experiences into various art forms and scientific research. His mission, “One Million Hearts,” aims to eradicate heart and vascular disease, empower patients, and improve their quality of life. Dr. Natour is committed to exemplary patient outcomes, sharing his knowledge with peers and students, and focusing on the latest developments in health education and technology.
