Who have you helped?

Throughout my career as a body language coach, my overarching goal has been to support public speakers, leaders, sales, educators, students and individuals to maximize the power of using their power. Their body language stands out, builds trust, connects and creates credibility every time they communicate in the world.

Why is this mission important?

Nothing replaces the human connection. And nothing can help us to go further along but to connect with people! Communication works on two levels, public speaking, words and body language. Imagine ourselves standing up straight, shoulders relaxed back, eye contact with the audience and sharing our message, how impactful this can be with only these 3 tips.  And, right now, I cannot think of any work that we do not need to communicate genuinely and effectively.   Always, start with a warm greeting with a sincere smile and a warm, yet equally firm handshake or a “namaste” hand gesture before starting a more complicated issues, like conflict resolutions.

An emotional intelligence body language with the right facial expression approach can deescalate even difficult conversations and shape moments of cohesiveness in any group, or in any relationship. Our relationships are important, and we must create psychological safety, and facial expressions and body language can support this mission.

How did you help them?

I have supported speakers all over the globe through various sessions, mostly tailor-made,  meeting their specific needs and challenges. Some of the ways I have helped include: The “emotional bodily and facial map” is a tool that any speaker can benefit from by recognizing first their own emotions, then the emotions triggered in their talk to deliver with wisdom and tranquillity.

One-on-one mentoring sessions and group workshops for speakers, students coming from all the world and socio-economic backgrounds and professional fields working on their expressiveness and presence on stage, delivering with confidence and being ready to empower others.

Facilitating body language classes, job interview training programs, and micro-expressions skill-building workshops to help speakers overcome their public speaking barriers. Plus, private sessions with CEOs, help them increase emotional intelligence and read the room in negotiations.

What has proven successful, and what has been the impact of your work?

I believe in personalized guidance and empowerment of the uniqueness for each speaker to shine. It is a gift to give to society and generous helping (nonprofit) speakers all over the globe to prepare themselves for their upcoming TEDx talk.  We all know that talks have the power to inspire, connect, empower and change people’s lives and move forward future generations. My small contribution as a coach /mentor, supporting speakers feel strong in communicating their message in order with their ideas to help people.  Many times, during the process of public speaking coaching we are identifying emotional triggers during sensitive topics. Building confidence in speakers is a heart fulfilment.

I love to support and provide guidance in building confidence, refining speech delivery, and improving body language and facial expressions.

What challenge did you encounter? What were the key lessons learned?

I encountered different challenges. However, the key challenge is the first minutes to build rapport, and trust and connect on a deeper level. From my experience, I learned that quick connection is a must.  My coach Alex Lyon” (a Coach also, needs a Coach!)  with his co-author Julien Mirivel in their book “Positive Communication for Leaders”pg.  15, featuring words and quotes of Author Jon Gordon “Connection and relationship are what drive real growth “. Likewise, my priority in collaborating with speakers is “Connection and Relationship”, because I know and feel that this mindset drives the real growth of the speaker and consequently, the audience.

What’s next?

I believe in speakers, when communicating their message to be more authentic and sincere. And to connect immediately with their audience and meet the audience’s needs!

“A speaker is like a tour guide: A talk is a journey that the speaker and audience take together.

You take something that matters deeply to you and rebuild it in the minds of your listeners; to

do that you must begin where the audience is and have no impossible leaps or inexplicable

shifts in direction.” Chris Anderson Head of TED
