Brenda is the STEM and Aviation Skills Consultant at the UK Civil Aviation Authority, she aims to inspire and engage with young people to explore careers in STEM, aviation and aerospace to support and encourage their future career choices.
Brenda has been leading a team of over 200 CAA STEM volunteers to deliver inspiring outreach across the UK for four years. Igniting initiatives like a Virtual Work Experience Programme at the CAA has seen thousands of 15-18-year-olds engage with industry experts and learn about this great sector. Building strong partnerships and working collaboratively with industry has enabled huge success with this outreach programme and developing a CAA STEM Website STEM | Opportunities in Aviation & Aerospace (caa.co.uk) offering a hub of information, resources and career guidance for teachers, parents and students is among some of the great activity helping to create awareness and guidance for the aviation and aerospace sector.
